Inside the private jet designed to look like a superyacht

The interior of this private jet has been designed to look like a luxury yacht and the result is incredible.

Officina Armare designed the Bombardier Global 6000 for a Brazilian client who wanted to merge their love for yachting with private air travel.

The 42-foot private jet is now fitted with the best of the best, including Hermès signature leather, crocodile leather details, and rich mahogany wood.

It’s no surprise the client went to Officina Armare for the outfit too, as it’s a specialty design house for superyachts and catamarans.

For the company’s first foray into jet cabin design, it’s done a pretty bang-up job of it.

Officina Armare gave the cabin streamlined cream lounge seats with navy nubuck crocodile leather details.

The cabin is also finished with top-of-the-line leather from Hermès.

And the lounges are upholstered with soft wool from Loro Piana.

It’s a luxury design lover’s dream.

The cabin has also been fitted with all the latest state-of-the-art technology.

It has wide-screen televisions, wireless technologies, surround sound, and ambient lighting that can be changed to suit the mood on board.

Oh and it can all be controlled using an app on your smartphone.

The 42 foot long, eight foot wide and six foot tall jet has also been divided into separate zones, with the gallery up the front, the dining and entertainment saloon in the middle and the owner’s private stateroom at the rear.

The private stateroom alone has a full master-suite bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, a full bathroom and an office area.

The jet doesn’t just look amazing, it’s fast too.

The Bombardier Global 600 has a top speed of Mach 0.88 which is 1050km/h or 528mph.

And its typical cruising speed is 902 km/h (487 mph).

It reaches these speeds thanks to dual Rolls Royce turbofan engines.

A Bombardier Global 6000 can cost  between $20 million for a 2012 model and $65 million for a 2021 model.

But with all of the luxury extras this client added, you can only imagine what this piece of flying artwork set them back.
