Mercedes-AMG is releasing $3,500 office chairs

The key to a good performance car is a bucket seat that holds you in, and now Mercedes is offering just that.

And just that alone.

Mercedes-AMG has made an office chair that matches the seats in your car and it offers the same sporty ergonomics found in its racing cars.

Just like those in the GLA 45 S, it’s a snug bucket seat with an integrated headrest.

It also features the same AMG badging and grippy side bolsters, but unlike in the car, the office chair has armrests attached to it.

But at 32kg, it’s almost three times the weight of the average desk chair.

The chair is made in collaboration with Cento Advanced Seating, which is part of Recaro and turns other car seats into desk chairs.

The chair not only has height and tilt adjustment, it has adjustable thigh support just like you’d find in an AMG car.

The armrests are also height and width adjustable and can fold up to 30 degrees inwards as well.

AMG Office Chair price

The AMG Office Chair is priced at a hefty $3573 (€3500) plus shipping.

It’s available online now through a dedicated web store.

Mercedes-AMG speakers

A desk chair isn’t the only product Mercedes has put out recently.

While sitting in your AMG chair, you’ll also be able to listen to tunes on your AMG speakers.

Made by iXOOST, the big speaker box is designed to look like the grille on a Mercedes-AMG GT.

Although the speaker is massive, it’s half the weight of the desk chair at 15kg because it’s made from carbon fiber.

But it’s expected to cost almost ten times as much as the office chair at around $30,000.
