McLaren Sabre

Do you remember back in the 1990s when TVR was doing some mad stuff with paint jobs? They were making a paint known as ‘Reflex Purple’ and it was essentially a paint that would change colour depending on the lighting and how you looked at it.

Now McLaren appears to have done the same thing, but to a vehicle worth ten times as much as a TVR.

McLaren only ever built 15 Sabres for the world to enjoy yet this one has been configured in the most peculiar spec.

It’s currently for sale at Barrett Jackson and features an impressive colour shifting paint that changes from blue to purple depending on the angle you look at it.

The British carmaker calls it Pacific Colour Stream and it seriously pops over the hypercar’s carbon fibre bodywork.

Not only is the paint impressive, but this might just be the most insane looking car to ever grace our roads.

And while it might be to your taste, we doubt your wallet will be too pleased as each Sabre will set you back an eye-watering $3,790,000.

We’re interested to see how much it sells for on the second-hand market now…
