iPhone battery saving tips

Any conversation about the battery life of an iPhone is always a lively one.

Different people have different ways to solve the ‘issue’, if you believe that it is one.

Mind you, there are a few simple adjustments that can significantly improve your phone’s battery life.

We could probably write an entire book with all the tips provided by ex-Apple employees and Apple users when it comes to saving battery.

Charging your phone to 100 percent, for example, is apparently also a bad idea.

And there are counterintuitive tips, too.

For instance, most of us assumed that keeping a lot of apps open might drain the phone’s battery but apparently, it’s the other way around.

This is because – as it turns out – the apps running in the background aren’t as active as you think, and closing them and opening them constantly makes it worse.

Then there’s an obvious trick that’s not so obvious.

By using Low Power Mode, the phone deactivates a lot of battery-draining features, such as background app refresh, fast display refresh rates and so on.

Another good idea is to disable ‘Hey Siri’ detection, especially if you don’t use it that often.

With ‘Hey Siri’ on, the phone is constantly actively ‘listening’, in case you say ‘Hey Siri’, and that needs battery.

Another thing that drains your iPhone battery is the haptic feedback when typing.

The constant buzz every time you hit a key is a deadly battery killer.

And then of course there’s the best way to make our phone’s battery last longer.

It’s easy, we just need to reduce our screen time, and apparently, that’s what Tim Cook himself suggests.

So, if you really want that phone battery to last you all day, just put it back in your pocket.

You might even feel better for it, and your phone will thank you in the long run.
