A new iPhone, iPad, and Mac Studio: here’s everything announced at today's Apple event

Apple has just wrapped up its first event of the year, announcing some exciting new gadgets.

The event kicked off with a look at new content coming to the Apple TV+ streaming service, including some exclusive Major League Baseball games.

Before the new product announcements, Apple unveiled a unique green color option for the iPhone 13 that will be available to order from this Friday.

There were also three new major products announced; an iPhone, an iPad, and a new Mac Studio.

iPhone SE

The new iPhone SE follows the same recipe as the previous model while bumping up the specs to support the latest features.

The design will have a 4.7inch display and Touch ID housed inside the home button.

And it will have the A15 chip you’ll find in the latest iPhone 13 and 5G connectivity, giving users longer battery life and crisper looking photos with improved HDR.

The iPhone SE will be available from March 18, costing $429 for a 64GB model.

iPad Air

Apple has updated the iPad Air with new internals that might just make it the best iPad you can buy.

It now features the M1 chip, making it 60% faster than the previous version and on par with the more expensive iPad Pro.

You’ll also get a new 12MP front camera with the handy ‘centre stage’ feature to make sure you’re always in shot during virtual meetings.

It has a starting price of $599 and the option to add 5G for the first time on a non-pro iPad.

Mac Studio and Studio Display

The last, and most expensive device to be unveiled was a new desktop computer known as the Mac Studio.

On the outside, it looks like a slightly taller Mac Mini but it’s packing a powerful punch thanks to new chips inside.

It will be available with the same M1 Max chip as the top of the line MacBook Pro, along with the option of the even more powerful M1 Ultra.

This Ultra chip is truly monstrous with 20 CPU cores and 64 GPU cores, paired with up to 128GB of memory. Although this configuration will set you back more than double the $1,999 starting price.

To go along with this, there is also the new 27-inch 5K Studio Display.

This new $1,599 monitor features a 12-megapixel webcam, 6 speakers, and what Apple describes as “studio quality microphones”.

Both the Mac Studio and display are available to order now and ship on March 18.
