This American Latina billionaire had never set foot on a superyacht before buying one, and now she’s the proud owner of not one, but two superyachts.

Carolyn Aronson is the woman behind It’s a 10 Haircare and has also funded at least 14 startups to help amass a fortune that has allowed her to buy her fleet of yachts.

She named her first superyacht ‘She’s a 10’ – a play on words on the name of her beauty company – and called her second yacht ‘She’s a 10 Too’.

Incredibly, Aronson had not even stepped onto a yacht before taking the plunge into the world of yacht ownership.

Why Aronson bought her first superyacht

Aronson wasn’t brought up around luxury ships or anything to do with the ocean.

She grew up in Detroit, surrounded by Ford, Chevrolet, and more, before eventually moving to Fort Lauderdale.

“I’d never stepped foot on a yacht before owning one,” Aronson told Robb Report.

“But I love the ocean and I wanted to find a way to get to it.”

Her first vessel was the Oceanfast Mystique, which she later renamed to She’s a 10.

Aronson purchased the yacht for approximately $4 million, after it was originally listed for $8.5 million.

It turned out to be the perfect vessel for Aronson.

Why the American beauty mogul is obsessed with her yachts

Now, Aronson is obsessed with her ship and the whole concept of yachting.

She also has a love of speed, and the 30 knots top speed of her vessel does help fulfill that.

But the billionaire also has a motorcycle, an Embracer Legacy 650 jet, and a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette.

It’s not any Corvette either, as it has a massive 650hp engine under the hood.

She actually led a full refit program on She’s a 10, before she expanded her yachting fleet to include her second vessel.

This was the 177-foot-long Magnust GranSport 54, which was renamed to She’s A 10 Too.

It is remarkable how a woman who had never set foot on a yacht before has become the proud owner of not one, but two superyachts.

But once you get a taste for luxury at sea, you never look back.
