Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1977 Excalibur has resurfaced after years away from the public eye, and it’s in incredible condition.
The Excalibur was launched back in 1963 as a prototype styled on the 1928 Mercedes-Benz SSK.
The car went on to have several generations before production ended for good in 1997.
Schwarzenegger’s 1977 Excalibur is a Series III and is a super-rare example that has recently been given a beautiful sprucing up.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1977 Excalibur is back
It’s safe to say that the Exclaibur is a real head-turner, thanks to its retro-looks and bold American-made proportions.
They’re also pretty rare, with total production numbers sitting somewhere around the 3,500 mark.

However, Schwarzenegger‘s Series III is rarer again.
It was one of just 1,141 Excaliburs produced in 1977, and is one of just 76 Roadster models.
Under the hood, most of the Series III models had a Chevrolet 350-cubic-inch small-block V8, which could produce around 300hp.
Typically, they were produced with turbo-hydromagnetic automatic transmissions, but some, including the one belonging to Arnie, came with a manual transmission instead.
Schwarzenegger’s Excalibur has been out of the public eye for a good few years, but now it’s made a welcome return, recently appearing on CNN and looking better than ever.
The car recently had a full restoration carried out by the experts at West Coast Customs – and it looks absolutely incredible.

The company shared a slew of photographs of the vintage vehicle on Instagram, and it’s clearly every bit as camera-ready as its famous owner.
It’s one of the many incredible vehicles in the actor’s collection
The 1977 Excalibur Series III is one of many vehicles in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s collection, which includes a doorless Hummer H1 and the world’s first all-electric G-Class.
The collection is so large that it even includes a tank.
Yep, believe it or not, alongside his Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, Audi R8, and not one but two Bentley Continentals, there’s also a 1951 M47 Patton Cold War tank.
According to reports, the Hollywood star likes to use the tank to crush other cars, and we honestly can’t think of a more Arnie-appropriate use of a former military tank than that.
