A top calligraphy artist was invited along to paint directly onto a $200,000 Bentley Bentayga in front of a live audience.

No pressure then.

Calligrapher Abdul Kareem showcased his enormous talent during the H.H. The Amir’s Tamim Sword International Equestrian Festival 2024 in Qatar.

The artist whipped out a brush and a pot of paint and set to work, giving the Bentley a custom paint job.

The Bentley Bentayga was given custom calligraphy paintwork

British carmaker Bentley launched the Bentayga in 2015 and its introduction caused a bit of a stir.

The initial concept car – known as the EXP 9 F – was met with criticism for its design, prompting Bentley to announce that it would rework the design before the vehicle went into production.

Fortunately, the re-design went down well with Bentley customers and a decade on the Bentayga remains part of the lineup.

Earlier this month, Bentley announced it was releasing three limited-edition Bentaygas with custom paintwork, that each took 70 hours to complete.

But if you fancied getting your hands on a truly unique Bentayga then you may want to enlist the help of calligraphy artist Abdul Kareem.

He was invited along to the H.H. The Amir’s Tamim Sword International Equestrian Festival 2024 where he was tasked with creating a custom paint job on a stunning gold-colored Bentayga.

He’s previously worked on other cars including a Rolls-Royce

In a clip shared online, Kareem can be seen carefully and delicately drawing out a design, before opening up a paint pot and painting the hood of the Bentley with the image of a horse – he was at an equestrian show after all.

As he continued on with his work, a crowd of people could be seen watching him intently, many with their phones in hand to record his artistry.

The finished result was nothing short of stunning and the resulting car is now a true one-off.

As you might have guessed, painting luxury cars in his signature calligraphy style isn’t new to Kareen – a quick look at his Instagram page reveals that he’s previously used his talents on a Rolls-Royce and a Jeep.

And they all look incredible.
