Aston Martin is heading back to one of racing’s biggest stages, and it’s not doing it subtly.
After more than 40 years away from the top class at Daytona, the brand is finally back in the fight.
The car leading the charge is Valkyrie – a hypercar that already looks like it belongs in a video game.
And this weekend, it’s about to face one of motorsport’s toughest tests.

Why Aston Martin showing up at Daytona is a big deal
The Rolex 24 at Daytona isn’t just another race.
It’s a full 24 hours of chaos, strategy, and survival, where cars race day and night until something eventually breaks… or doesn’t.
Aston Martin hasn’t gone after an overall win here with a factory-backed top-class car since the early 1980s.
Valkyrie changes that.

What makes it even cooler is what Valkyrie actually is.
It started life as a road-going hypercar, then got turned into a race car.
In fact, it’s the only road-derived hypercar competing in both IMSA and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Under the hood is a 6.5-liter V12 that can scream to 11,000rpm.
Racing rules dial the power back, but it’s still loud, fast, and very serious.
This is also Valkyrie’s second racing season.

Last year ended with a huge second-place finish at Petit Le Mans, plus solid results around the world.
That gave the team confidence, and proof the car can go the distance.
Four drivers will share the job at Daytona, rotating through the cockpit while the car runs non-stop.
The goal isn’t to be flashy, but instead to stay out of trouble, keep the car alive, and still be competitive when the sun comes up on Sunday.

Valkyrie isn’t racing alone this weekend
While Valkyrie grabs the spotlight, Aston Martin isn’t putting all its eggs in one basket.
Three Vantage GT3 cars are also lining up in the GTD class, run by teams that already know how to win endurance races.
Different cars, different class, same idea.
It all goes to show Aston Martin isn’t just visiting Daytona for fun.
It’s rebuilding a serious endurance racing presence, step by step.

And if Valkyrie makes it through 24 hours of Daytona intact, that alone will say a lot.
Winning would be amazing, but finishing strong would still be a statement.
Either way, Aston Martin is officially back among the racing world.
