The iconic DeLorean time-traveling car from Back to the Future is many gearheads’ dream purchase, and now a replica of the unique vehicle has surfaced in Dallas.

This car looks exactly like the real deal, but to get your hands on the time machine lookalike, it will cost you more than a few bucks.

The vehicle was used by characters Marty McFly and Dr Brown in the movie franchise, but now it could be yours.

From interactive time circuits to a demo mode, the car could easily be mistaken for the original masterpiece.

You can time-travel in this DeLorean that’s almost as good as the real deal

DeLorean became a household name following the success of the Back to the Future movies that were released in the 1980s.

The company’s DMC-12 was given a whole new lease of life after taking Marty back to the 1950s, and as a result of the popularity, many replicas were created by avid superfans.

Now, a replica of the exact car used to time travel has popped up in Dallas, but for an eye-watering price of  $101,099.00, with a deposit of $500.00.

“This is a 1981 DeLorean with a 5-Speed Manual Transmission, gray leather interior, and a PRV-V6 engine with a full conversion to the time machine from Back to the Future,” stated the eBay listing.

The car was built by Bob’s Prop Shop in Dallas, and the shop hasn’t just created one. There are over 50 of them that have come into fruition.

“The creation features fully interactive Time Circuits, you can enter and change the dates,” the listing explained.

But that’s not all.

It also boasts a digital ‘GPS-actuated’ speedometer and even a ‘Demo Mode’ that enables the recreation of time travel with needles moving and features lighting up like the real deal, along with sounds too.

The Delorean itself has received somewhat of an overhaul, with a new interior, cooling system, AC system, and even refined wheels.

Other custom elements of the car include a custom suspension and a Bluetooth stereo.

“The Delorean itself remains mostly stock mechanically, it is street legal and ready to drive. (Check your local laws),” the listing continued.

It’s not the first time that fans have tried to travel Back to the Future

The Back to the Future franchise is iconic among movie fanatics and car enthusiasts, and many fans have tried to get their hands on the car that enabled the mighty adventures that McFly and Dr Brown embarked on.

In fact, some students across the pond in Northern Ireland even built their own all-electric version of the car – talk about adapting to the times.

But, in a more realistic turn of events, one fan in California tried to time-travel by hitting 88mph in the iconic car, but instead of triggering time, it triggered cops.
