A police cruiser built on the chassis of a Pontiac Fiero for the 1989 sequel Back to the Future: Part 2 is headed for auction.
For those who haven’t seen the flick, it centers on Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) going forward in time from 1985 to 2015.
Whilst in 2015, the duo must get to grips with their new futuristic surroundings, which included this police cruiser.
And if you like the look of it, now is your chance to snap it up, as its set to go under the hammer soon.

The police cruiser is one-of-two made for Back to the Future: Part II
It’s impossible to think of Back to the Future franchise without thinking of the iconic DeLorean, but it wasn’t the only car that appeared in the movies.
For the 1989 sequel, concept artist Tim Flattery was tasked with creating a futuristic cruiser for the fictional Hill Valley Police.

The car was hand-built by the late legendary Gene Winfield, who had previously built vehicles for Blade Runner and RoboCop.
The police cruiser was built on the chassis of a Pontiac Fiero, but that’s where it’s similarities ended.
Its fiberglass body has aircraft-inspired contours and integrated light bars, which we sadly didn’t see materialize on real police cruisers in 2015.
Two examples were built for the movie, but this one is the only with a fully-functioning engine and drivetrain, although its listing explains that the vehicle isn’t intended for road-use.
After the movie was released, the car ended up in Winfield’s personal collection, and was given a full-restoration for its 30th anniversary in 2015.
It was then displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles for its Hollywood Dream Machines exhibition.

The car will now be sold by Bonhams as part of The Movie Car Collection on November 28 and has a valuation between $80,800 and $115,444.
There are plenty of movie-famous cars up for sale
The Back to the Future police cruiser will be sold alongside a slew of vehicles from both the big and small screen.
Other gems include the Mitsubishi Evo VII that Paul Walker drove in 2 Fast 2 Furious, as well as eight other cars that appeared on-screen throughout the Fast and the Furious franchise.
There’s also John Wick’s beloved 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, and cars from RoboCop, Ghostbusters and more.
And a one-of-100 James Bond Edition BMW Z3 that comes with a surprisingly reasonable valuation.
