After spending years in a $60 million car collection, this beautiful 2005 Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG recently sold for over $300,000, which is massively over market value.
Sold via Bring a Trailer, this remarkable coupe has just 3,300 miles on the odometer, meaning it has barely been run in.
This particular CL65 AMG spent most of its time in the company of cars like the Pagani Huayra, and the model usually sells for around $45,000.
But this one is an ultra-rare example, and that meant its price soared at auction.

What makes this Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG so special?
This car was ordered new by philanthropist and car collector Michael Fux.
Fux has amassed an amazing collection over the years, something now worth up to $60 million.
Yet while this may look like any other Mercedes coupe, it’s a lot more special than that.
First of all, there is the color, which is Alabaster White with Java leather upholstery.
This is a rare combination, and it requires serious TLC to prevent it from collecting dirt.

Plus, Mercedes made just 777 CL65 AMGs, adding to the exclusivity of this coupe.
The car has also spent much of its life in a garage, traveling just 3,326 miles in 21 years – only adding to its prestige.
Back in 2005, Fux paid $182,280 for the Mercedes.

V12 power sits under the hood of the coupe
It isn’t just the outside that makes this car special.
Under the hood is a huge 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12, hidden beneath a carbon fiber hood.
That massive engine produces 604hp and 738lb-ft of torque.
The CL65 AMG is rapid, with a top speed of 155mph and a 0-60mph time of just 3.8 seconds.
There are plenty of other great features too, such as its Active Body Control (ABC) suspension and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

It also has bi-xenon headlights, a power sunroof, and Parktronic parking sensors.
Plus, it has a trunk you can close via a button, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Bose sound system.
So while it might seem expensive, it would appear this Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG is worth more than $300,000.
