A Florida man whose Lamborghini Aventador sank on a ship along with 4,000 other supercars has revealed what Lamborghini’s response was.
YouTuber Exotic Car Hacks was undoubtedly excited to receive his Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae when he ordered it.
Unfortunately, it was being shipped over on the ill-fated Felicity Ace, which caught fire before sinking beneath the waves.
Here’s what Lamborghini did to make things right.

How Lamborghini responded when this man’s Aventador sank
If you cast your mind back to 2022, you may recall the tragic story of the Felicity Ace.
The Felicity Ace caught fire and sank to the bottom of the Atlantic with almost 4,0000 VW Group supercars on board in 2022.
Out of the 3,965 onboard, there were Porsches, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Audis, and VWs among them.

Among those iconic cars were 15 Lamborghini Aventador Ultimaes.
In the wake of all the media coverage, $400 million in supercars was left sitting at the bottom of the ocean.
So that left customers and manufacturers with one question: ‘What now?’
Bentley leapt into action in a commendable way, so what about Lamborghini?
Well, YouTuber Exotic Car Hacks was one of the buyers who had seen his purchase sink beneath the Atlantic.
And he also had two GT3 cars on the Felicity Ace, too… ouch.

Despite the obvious disappointment that must have come when the ship sank, Lamborghini responded in a way that was remarkable.
“Lucky for me, Lamborghini was very kind and decided to remake me a car even though they had already shut down the plant,” he said.
“This incident forced them to basically reopen the plant.”
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about this remarkable action.

This was a big undertaking for the company
Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann was the one who came out and confirmed that each Aventador onboard the Felicity Ace would be rebuilt.
Other Lamborghinis on the ship, like the Huracán and Urus, were also included in this effort.
In what was already a jam-packed schedule, space was made in the factory, and the production line was reorganized to accommodate this challenge.
But every paying customer received the car they’d paid hard-earned money for.
This wouldn’t be the last time in recent years that we’d see a ship carrying cars disappear into the ocean – remember the ship carrying cars that sank off the coast of Alaska last year?
In that case, 3,000 vehicles sank to the sea floor.
It’s sad to see so many beautiful cars go to waste in this way.
But it’s worth highlighting how manufacturers went the extra mile to make things right.
