British Automotive Company (BAC) has shaved off the extra weight of the car by removing the traditional paint coating.

Now this is what we call an innovative way to make the supercars weigh less.

And we all know, the lesser the weight, the faster these cars zoom. When it comes to supercars, every gram matters.

BAC Mono R removes traditional paint to make cars lightweight

Most supercars that we see rely on paint for both protection and aesthetics.

However, the Mono R uses Hypetex’s revolutionary carbon fiber technology to cut down on weight.

Interestingly, the car doesn’t look odd; if anything, it looks amazing and stylish with the carbon fiber texture.

A paint job adds a few kgs to the overall weight of the car, but Hypetex’s advanced method only adds 17 grams.

It’s a significant difference for high-performance cars.

However, the looks of the car were not compromised to keep the car fast.

The glossy white finish, black components, and the added yellow touch adds to the car’s beauty.

With all the extra weight removed, BAC Mono R weighs just 555 kg, 15kg less than the standard model.

The car’s performance metrics have been improved significantly.

The company is doing some really impressive work. Earlier, a design student penned down a BAC concept car that looked even better than the original.

Incredible performance of the car

With its powerful 343 bhp engine, this supercar can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 2.5 seconds.

Now to give you an idea of how fast that is — remember that the Lamborghini Revuelto attains that 0-60 speed in around 2.58 seconds.

However, Telsa Plaid is a bit faster than both the cars, reaching 0-60mph in less than 2 seconds.

Thanks to the aerodynamics of the BAC Mono R, it can reach the stunning speed of 170mph.

Everything combined makes the BAC Mono R, a standout in the supercar world, and the future of the company looks brighter than ever.
