Barn finds can be extremely rewarding sometimes, but this BMW E34 M5, abandoned in the garage of a $1.5 million luxury mansion in the Southern United States, is certainly a step above.
In fact, we’re not sure whether to call it a barn find, plainly because of how posh the location was.
So, how does one find an abandoned mansion with a cost that high?
It’s a sad story, to say the least.

BMW E34 M5 found in $1.5 million abandoned villa
This 1993 BMW E34 M5 had been sitting in a garage for quite a while now, with almost no attention ever given to it.
Two YouTubers — BigBankz and Silent Hill Explorations — found this place and tried to figure out what exactly happened there.
Both YouTubers are explorers and have a history of unfolding eerie and abandoned locations.
Anyhow, this mansion was in the heart of a wealthy neighborhood and once was home to a couple.
The BMW’s owner was apparently the husband, who also had a Porsche.
However, due to harsh times, he drove off from their family home, reportedly because of grief, and never came back.
This villa and the E34 M5 have been sitting there neglected ever since.
The star car of its time
Although we don’t know anything concrete about the owner as well as his car and art collections, we do know about this classic car.
It was one of the German automaker’s most sought-after creations back in the day, and all for good reason.
It has a 3.5-liter straight-six engine that sends out 310 horsepower and 256lb-ft of torque.
That, however, wasn’t its most iconic feature.
You guessed it, the design of the 1990s M5 models was a star among enthusiasts and fans alike.
It’s certainly a disappointing sight to see how things unfolded with the couple’s lives, and an abandoned mansion still sits there to this day.
It’s also one of the saddest barn finds because no matter the car’s condition, its history speaks volumes.
