Bugatti has opened a brand-new, cutting-edge production facility that will be used to build the upcoming Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar.
Bugatti unveiled the Tourbillon in June last year, as a successor to the Chrion.
The carmaker has said production will be limited to just 250 units, each with a price tag of $4 million.
The car is set to go into production next year, and Bugatti has opened up a new world-class facility to make that happen.

The Bugatti Tourbillon – what we know so far
Few carmakers are able to build as much excitement about an upcoming vehicle as Bugatti.
With just a few months until the Bugatti Tourbillon goes into production, the hype around the hypercar is real.

And it’s not hard to see why, Bugatti says the upcoming hybrid will hit 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in under two seconds and have an estimated top speed of 277mph (445 km/h) with the use of a speed key. Impressive stuff.
And in order to create the car, Bugatti announced a new world-class facility back in July.
The facility is situated in the grounds of the Château Saint Jean in Molsheim, where the carmaker has been based since the 1920s.
It features an unusual and eye-catching design with a sloped roof that is covered in grass.
The new Bugatti Atelier measures 433-feet long and is 82-feet wide, as well as an ‘intelligent layout’ inside that will help deliver ‘new levels of efficiency’.
“Delivering double the production capacity of the existing Atelier, the larger floorspace and its upgraded facilities enable Bugatti to introduce a new generation of manufacturing equipment and workflow design, bringing more capabilities in-house,” the marque said in a press release.

With the new facility open, Bugatti’s old Atelier building will be used as a space for specially invited guests to explore the world of the carmaker and get an up-close look at the interior of select vehicles being created.
Bugatti is ‘sold out’ until 2029
As the carmaker gears up to release the Tourbillon, Bugatti director of design Frank Heyl revealed that it’s in a great spot and completely sold out until 2029.
Speaking during Monterey Car Week, the designer revealed that between finishing production of the Bolide and getting ready to start building the Tourbillon, Bugatti had a lot on its plate.
“So, building 250 Tourbillons,” he said.
“Now delivering the finalist trials. The final Bolide…[all that] is going to keep us busy with our capacities until 2029 and sold out until 2029.”
