The BYD Blade Battery 2.0 is its latest gift to EVs, and it’s one we’re all grateful to receive.
This battery allows for a range of 621 miles, and can charge from 10 percent to 70 percent in a matter of minutes.
BYD has been coming on leaps and bounds in international markets, and this move will likely accelerate its growth.
When you read more about this battery, you’ll be left with no doubt in your mind – BYD’s ambition is second to none.

Taking a closer look at BYD’s Blade Battery 2.0
Now that it’s claimed the top spot in EV global sales, you might think that BYD would start resting on its laurels and enjoying the view from the number one spot.
But with sales in China slowing down, there’s no time for the company to ease up on its growth.
That’s where the Blade Battery 2.0 comes into the picture.

Unveiled at its ‘Disruptive Technology’ event on March 5, the Blade Battery 2.0 boasted record-breaking charging speeds and 621 CLTC driving range.
Now get this – with this ‘flash charging’ system, you could take your vehicle from 10 to 70 percent in five minutes.
Getting up to 97 percent would only take an additional four minutes.
And, even in the coldest conditions, it would only take 12.

Vehicles equipped with the Blade Battery 2.0 recharge between 30 and 50 percent faster than EVs without it.
The Yangwang U7 will be the first vehicle to feature this battery.
We can only imagine how customers will react when they get to experience this for themselves.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for BYD
BYD’s success has been widely documented over the past few years, as it’s overtaken Tesla to become the biggest EV seller in the world.
But if you’re expecting BYD to be sold in the US anytime soon, don’t hold your breath.

The brand is effectively blocked from the US market due to tariffs, and getting a Chinese EV into the country involves jumping through a lot of hoops – and spending a ton of cash.
And when you have a factory bigger than San Francisco, you mean business.
