California billionaire Anthony L Hsieh was the lucky recipient of both a Bugatti Mistral and a 50-foot boat.

So, to really test out the capabilities of both of the machines, he had a plan.

Enlisting the help of someone who knows Bugatti inside and out, the pair got to work.

And, once you see the sheer size and power of each, you’ll be left wondering which one will come out on top.

The Bugatti Mistral is set to be put to the test by an unlikely competitor

Bugatti is one of the most luxurious car brands on the planet, with a huge fleet of powerful vehicles with huge price tags attached.

One of the manufacturer’s most impressive stand-outs is the Bugatti Mistral, the last ‘road-going model’ to ever feature the iconic W16 engine, and one billionaire, Anthony L Hsieh, managed to get his hands on one.

However, Anthony wasn’t alone; he was joined by Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac, who gave some exciting news online.

Rimac revealed that the Bugatti Mistral was set to be raced against a speedboat, to test which mode of transport was king, but more on that later.

“The police are closing down this road so we can have some fun in this car.

“Just a normal day,” said Rimac in a video posted to social media.

Now, let’s be clear – the Mistral is a beast.

With a top speed of over 260 mph (420km/h), it is a serious force to be reckoned with thanks to dual air intake and an open roof, which were inspired by the Type 57 Roadster and the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport.

The car even has vertical LED headlights with a 3D surface, which reduces aerodynamic drag, drains air from the wheel wells, and in turn increases the capabilities of the hypercar.

Now, just wait until you see the Mistral’s opponent.

Hint – it can do more than just get from A to B.

The 50-foot boat taking on the hypercar is no ordinary machine

Anthony Hsieh is also the owner of Badco Fishing Adventures, which has created the 50 Gameboat.

The boat was designed and built by Crosswait custom composites wth the aim to ‘chase giants around the world’ while using lightweight materials.

The boat is also powered by MAN 850 engines that can achieve 44 knots. Inside the boat is impressive too, with a split galley, bunks, a storage room, and even a salon.

Its first sea trial took place earlier this year, and now it’s game time.

Described as a ‘contemporary mid-size gameboat’, it will certainly give the Mistral a run for its money, with Mate Rimac and Anthony L Hsieh at the forefront of the action.

After Rimac teased the race online, hypercar fans couldn’t contain their excitement.

“This is the kinda fun I wanna have, go Mate,” said one user.

“Bro heard GTA 6 delayed, so he decided to do all the fun IRL,” commented another person.

“Mistral looks so much better than the Chiron,” added another.

Now, all eyes are on the result, which is set to be revealed very soon.
