These Californian YouTubers may have found the greatest EV barn find ever, as they came across 12 rare electric cars from the late 1990s.
Kyle, Alex, and Robert from Out of Spec Reviews, headed to Tennessee to meet up with a woman named Bonnie.
Bonnie’s late husband had compiled the vehicles together, as they were a passion of his.
Some of the models included here are extremely rare.

This EV collection is incredibly rare
In the world of car enthusiasts, nothing quite gets motorheads excited like a good old-fashioned barn find.
And we’ve seen a ton of them over the years.
Whether they be filled with muscle cars, or classic cars, they always hit the spot when it comes to rare cars.

And this barn find was no different.
Bonnie explained how she came to be the owner of this EV collection.
When her husband first heard of electric cars in the late 2000s, he was in disbelief that such a thing could exist.
But his mind soon changed after watching the 2006 documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?, which had been recommended to him.
The film explored how electric cars had initially failed to take off in the mid 1990s for multiple reasons.

She said: “My husband said he was the type of person born with a green light, he had no caution.
“And so, that was how it started. The first one he got was from Springfield, Missouri and it was a little S10 pick-up truck.”
Taking a closer look at the vehicles in this remarkable collection
There were a ton of vehicles in the collection, and some have fared better than others.
First up is a Dodge Caravan which had been done up as an electric car.

Bonnie admitted: “This would have been one of the first ones to be in the shop.
“[My husband] really wanted this one to work. He actually drove all the way to California and towed this home.”
There’s also an electric Ford Ranger and an EV1 on the property.
These are from the first generation of electric cars, way before the Porsche Taycan or the Tesla Model S.

Speaking of Tesla, their first electric car was present in the yard – a Tesla Roadster, to be exact.
There was also a Dodge Epic and the previously mentioned Chevy S10.
