Ohio detailers have given this Chevy Corvette barn find with just 11,000 miles on the clock its first full wash in over 30 years.

The guys at WD Detailing found the Chevy Corvette in a barn, but what made the find even cooler was the fact it was a C1 Corvette, the very first generation of the famous sports car.

Dirt and debris covered both the exterior and interior, while the overall condition of the sports car looked quite good despite the long time in storage.

After the job was done, the team surprised the owner with what looked like a brand-new C1.

This C1 Corvette had been in a barn for over three decades

This is a 1962 C1 Corvette, and it is also the first one the detailers have featured on their YouTube channel.

The 1962 model was a later version, after Chevrolet figured out how to revive the sports car’s fortunes.

Having looked at the paintwork, it was clear that critters had been all over the barn find.

The owner of the car revealed that it used to be his grandfather’s before it was his dad’s.

It was last on the road in 1989, after which it stood in a barn for 25 years and a garage for another 10.

The car also came with a hardtop cover, which also got detailed in a video.

Beloved Chevy Corvette C1 gets a second chance

The WD team wasted no time in cleaning up this classic sports car.

Even just a basic clean of the wheels made a massive difference to the car.

The bodywork of the car had a basic pressure wash at first, to get the surface dirt off the C1.

Areas such as the engine bay required a bit more time and effort to get as clean as possible.

Perhaps the best part of the video was when the family of the car’s owner came to look at it after WD Detailing had finished.

They were blown away by the finish on the Corvette, and it was a truly spectacular transformation.

The icing on the cake was the paintwork polishing, which really brought the black color to life.
