The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray has become an extremely appealing option for buyers.
The release of the 2026 ‘Vette lineup has seen the C8 Z06 Corvette knocked down the pecking order.
This means that the Corvette E-Ray has also seen prices knocked into a sharp decline.
And one seller lived to regret that fact, after turning down $101k and selling for much less.

Seller gambles on Corvette E-Ray – and loses big
Chevrolet’s Corvette E-Ray has just become an even more appealing supercar within the range.
And this particular example is as clean and pristine as they come.
This 2024 model Corvette E-Ray 3LZ is a very well-equipped example, finished in Arctic White.
It carried an original sticker price of $118,935 when it was brand new.
And yet this Corvette E-Ray ended up switching hands for just $89,000.

What makes this decline even worse is that the seller could have easily avoided it.
This model was listed for auction on the Bring a Trailer platform last month.
It failed to meet the seller’s reserve, but bidding still reached $101,500.
Despite this, the seller decided to hold out for an extra month – and it didn’t go well.
As a matter of fact, the selling price of this Corvette fell by $12,500.
Instead of cashing in for six figures, the seller ended up with $89,000.
Great time to be a buyer – if you’re in the $90k range
Of course, this story is pretty bad news if you happen to be that seller.
But it is more than good news if you happen to be a potential buyer in the market.
Upon release, the E-Ray was, naturally, overshadowed by the Z06.
Of course, it was especially overshadowed by the Z06’s 5.5-liter, naturally-aspirated V8.

But the all-wheel drive system of the E-Ray makes it quicker in a straight line than the Z06.
A softer suspension setup also makes it a better daily driver option.
A cylinder deactivation system also comes with the 6.2-liter V8, making it more fuel-efficient.
So, if you happen to be in the market for a ‘Vette, you may well have picked the perfect time.
For a car in the $90,000, it’s hard to think of any car that’s better value for money than the Corvette E-Ray.
