The Chevy Corvette Z06 is quickly becoming a clearance item at many dealerships.
With the staggered release of 2026 models, Chevy dealerships are now working to clear room.
In fact, Chevy dealerships across America are getting aggressive in their attempts to clear space on the lot.
Some dealerships have been reportedly offering discounts of up to $12,000 – with over 1,700 unsold Corvette Z06 units still on dealership lots.

Chevy Corvette Z06 is becoming an issue – but why?
The Chevy Corvette Z06 is starting to become a bit of a headache for a lot of dealerships.
Chevy’s supercar, once a near-impossible find, now almost has the exact opposite problem.
It has started to become more and more readily available – and that presents a problem.
The volume of Chevy Corvette Z06 units, coupled with a cool in demand, has resulted in a lot of unsold units.
And Chevy dealerships across America are taking aggressive steps to try and sell these unsold Z06 units.
The General Motors online inventory tracker shows approximately 1,700 Corvette Z06 units sitting on lots across America.

Naturally, no dealership wants to be lumbered with units that it cannot sell.
So some dealers are offering aggressive discounts on the Chevy Corvette Z06 to try and entice buyers.
Many of these outstanding Z06 units are being discounted well below the MSRP price.
In fact, some Chevy Corvette Z06 units are now being sold with discounts as high as $12,000.
A Riptide Blue 1LZ coupe, for instance, was previously stickered at $119,775 – it now available for $107,000.
Demand starts sinking for the Z06
So, why has the demand for the previously rare Chevy Corvette Z06 cooled so much?
The first reason for the sink in demand actually has to do with dealers themselves.
Dealer markups have discouraged buyers waiting for post-launch price relief.
Secondly, these 2024/2025 Chevy Corvette Z06 units lack the upgrades that are coming in 2026.
These include (among others) revamped controls and larger interior screens.

Lastly, attention is firmly shifting to the brand-new ZR1 and ZR1X variants.
These deliver over 1,000bhp, firmly eclipsing the Z06’s performance – and thus drawing interest away.
Don’t be fooled, though – the Chevy Corvette Z06 is still a bargain if you can find the right deal.
And, based on the wave of discounts being offered, a good deal might not be so hard to find.
