The first Lamborghini EV has just dropped, but if you were hoping for a car, you’re going to be a bit blue… blue as the sea… as the new electric vehicle is the aquatic Seabob SE63.

The Italian manufacturer has expanded its dominance on tarmac to the turbulent tides in the last few years.

Following the launch of the Urus and Fenomemo, the Raging Bull has begun making boats and yachts to conquer the seas.

Now, the first Lamborghini EV has arrived, and it’s set to continue the brand’s marine exploration.

Lamborghini turns into the Raging Bull shark with a new electric Seabob

Lamborghini has waited a long, long time to begin making an EV.

While some brands jumped at the chance to take on electric, Lamborghini originally joined the likes of Koenigsegg and McLaren in wanting to stick with hybrid powertrains.

One upcoming vehicle is set to break that mold in 2030 after the company shelved its plans to make the Urus EV.

However, Lambo has just stealth-dropped its first electric vehicle, and it’s made quite a splash.

That’s right, while the company continues to push the EV car market down the road, it has decided to put the electric powertrain to use in a Seabob.

The Seabob SE63 is a standalone accessory to the iconic $4 million Lambo yacht, and will allow its users to swim around local reefs with ease.

Backed by a 6.3 kW motor – punching out a whopping 8.5hp – the Seabob SE63 generates enough power to constantly roam through the ocean for a full 60 minutes.

Making its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Seabob 63 is set to make waves in 2026, ahead of any electric car plans the brand has.

What’s happening with the Lamborghini EV range?

The esteemed Italian brand still hasn’t accelerated its plans to make electric cars. In fact, having first revealed the first Lamborghini EV – the Lanzador – in 2023, the brakes have slammed production to a halt.

The Lanzador is now expected to be produced in 2030, rather than 2028, and is aiming to pump out over 2,000 bull-power.

However, rumors have surfaced that put the first Lamborghini EV in even more jeopardy, as the manufacturer could be set to shift the project into reverse and accelerate away with a hybrid powertrain instead.

Well, at least there is at least one Lamborghini EV on the market, even if it can only swim at around 5mph and is completely useless on a racetrack.
