Elon Musk and one of his many companies — The Boring Company — have a tunnel system exclusive for Tesla models in Las Vegas called the Vegas Loop, and as imperfect as it may be, it’s still pretty cool.

Footage of a driver entering the tunnels surfaced on the internet, and it certainly is unlike any other public tunnel system.

Originally meant to be only for Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, the tiny tunnels can apparently fit much larger cars.

These go around the city and only have a sole purpose — to beat regular traffic.

Exclusive tunnel system in Las Vegas for Teslas

Las Vegas is inarguably one of the most popular tourist attractions in the United States, but everything great comes with caveats.

Excessive tourists automatically translate to increased traffic, and that likely popped an idea inside Elon Musk’s head.

Hence, The Boring Company announced a few years ago that it would create tunnels throughout the city on private land, exclusive to Teslas.

You could essentially beat traffic and reach popular spots, including the Harry Reid International Airport and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

A video on Instagram showing the insides of the Vegas Loop attracted millions of views, and for good reason.

Although it looked slightly claustrophobic, the tunnel was essentially a non-stop lane of cars moving smoothly.

These tunnels also have a pretty decor and lighting, so there’s that.

Elon Musk and his plan to beat traffic

The entire system stretches for 2.4 miles, with several added stops as of late.

However, the Vegas Loop has been facing a major problem recently.

According to reports, trespassers, essentially non-Tesla cars, have been entering and using the Vegas Loop, which is exclusive to Elon Musk’s Teslas.

The number of these unintended vehicles isn’t significant, but the problem certainly exists.

As for Musk and The Boring Company, they recently fit the massive Tesla Cybertruck into those tunnels, but it wasn’t easy.

The Cybertruck can technically pass through the loop, but with only half an inch of space left on either sides.

It’s a risky bet, but if it works, it works.
