If you ever dreamed of whizzing around in a UFO, today is your lucky day.

Introducing the I.F.O – an ‘identified flying object’ – from Italian company Jet Capsule.

Sure, it’s not actually real yet, but one day, right?

This two seater copter could reach a top speed of around 120 mph – a respectable speed for something from Earth.

How does this I.F.O work?

The I.F.O could be powered by eight electric engines, with different energy resources being provided from batteries stored around the disk.

With additional battery packs in the capsule’s body, the I.F.O would be able to fly independently for between sixty and seventy minutes.

Six folding suspensions unveil when it’s time for the I.F.O to make a smooth landing.

To access the copter, a passenger would need to head up through an elevator or enter on removable bridges.

The I.F.O’s overall dimension is a proposed 4.7 meters, with the passenger capsule taking up 2 meters of that.

From the brain of Pierpaolo Lazzarini

The I.F.O is the work of designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini.

This isn’t the first time he has come up with a flying mode of transportation.

The Italian designer previously designed the Air Car – a flying car with four rotatable Rolls-Royce jet engines.

The trim is inclined depending on the speed, which peaks at an estimated 750 km/h (466 mph).

That allows for an estimated autonomy of 1,200 kilometers (746 miles) of jet fuel.

Lazzarini also has an eye for aquatic designs, as he created a shark-inspired superyacht.

With teeth shaped windows and a $1 billion cost, it’s a mighty impressive creation.

That’s air and water covered, then.

If Lazzarini can get the I.F.O to withstand outer space – like an actual UFO – he’ll have all his bases covered.

Let’s hope that he one day gets a project like this off the ground – in more than one way.
