Set your alarms for Collector Car Day on July 11

This month marks July 11 – Collector Car Day, which is a big day for lovers of all things automobile.

The annual celebration of cars reportedly falls on the second Friday of July every single year and is a chance for lovers of cars to come together and celebrate their true passion.

In fact, the SEMA Action Network stated that, at its request, this special day has been marked every single year since 2010.

It’s all down to a U.S. Congressional Resolution recognizing that the “collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States”.

But the celebration doesn’t actually stop there – other local governments and states have embraced declarations too, meaning the holiday is actually recognized internationally.

So, car lovers all over the globe can celebrate and unbolt their garage doors, ready to roar the vintage engines of their most prized possessions.

What cars will actually be celebrated?

Well, the national day of celebration is set to praise cars from all different places, with different features and power levels.

Brands include Dodge, Chevrolet, Plymouth, Mustang, and many more in terms of muscle cars, meaning the power on show will be impressive.

Muscle cars are often a fan favorite among gearheads, and it’s not hard to see why.

One muscle car was even banned in America, the 1992 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T, due to its sheer speed – crazy, right?

And, when it comes to American classics, many auto-enthusiasts have some impressive motors under their belts, such as actress Sydney Sweeney, who, thanks to her Ford passion project, is making classic cars cool again.

For now, though, check out everything to do with July 11’s Collector Car Day here.
