The Ford F-150 is America’s best-selling vehicle, and not without good reason.

It has been used to transport and haul nearly everything you can think of.

Now, the brand’s flagship model has been spotted transporting – of all things – a giraffe.

And the people of Michigan are scratching their heads trying to work out why.

Ford F-150 – America’s best selling vehicle

Four over four decades, Ford has ruled America’s automotive market.

In 2023, the company celebrated the 47th consecutive year of the F-150 being America’s best-selling truck.

In spite of being taken over by the Toyota RAV4 in 2024, it is still a genuinely unbelievable achievement.

The F-150 has achieved mythical status for its success, mostly owing to it’s robustness, power and reliability.

Now, the iconic brand’s workhorse has been spotted transporting a slightly – let’s say – different kind of cargo.

By the way, you can see the whole thing in the video above.

Ford F-150 ferries a Giraffe through Michigan

First of all, we sincerely promise that this is not a joke.

The story starts in Macomb County, Michigan.

Somebody in traffic was stuck behind a Ford F-150, which happened to be carrying the unique passenger.

After the video was uploaded to Facebook, the story quickly went viral online.

Some people debated if the photo of the truck itself was even real.

Most people certainly didn’t believe the Giraffe itself was real.

Thankfully, however, clarity was soon found.

F-150 owner tracked down

A local news station in Michigan got wind of the story and quickly got to work.

The news station in Detroit managed to track down the Ford owner, and asked him for his side of the story.

As it turns out, the Ford owner is a professional taxidermist.

The Giraffe sadly died in a Zoo due to natural causes, so he was hired to work on it for a museum.

The man was transporting the Giraffe in his F-150 when he was seen in traffic.

That explains why most people didn’t believe that the Giraffe lying in the bed of the F-150 was real.

Most people saw it lying in an odd position, not even slightly moving.

Being a taxidermied Giraffe would go a long way to explaining why it was positioned the way it was.

We guess it goes to show that some things really do have to be seen to be believed.
