This Italian man got to experience the joy of driving a real-life Ibishu Pigeon van from the BeamNG.drive game.

BeamNG GmbH describes its game as ‘a dynamic soft-body physics vehicle simulator capable of doing just about anything’ and the Ibishu Pigeon is just one of many fictional vehicles found in the video game.

The Italian traveled from Italy to New Zealand, where it was built by a creative engineer, just so he could drive the Ibishu pigeon.

The drive was chaotic and ridiculous, incredibly similar to the physics of the in-game Ibishu Pigeon.

The Ibishu Pigeon but IRL

Italian car YouTuber MuYe travelled from Italy to New Zealand to get the chance to drive the real-life Ibishu Pigeon.

The Ibishu Pigeon is a fictional truck from the soft-body physics driving simulator BeamNG.drive.

The in-game driving experience is fairly chaotic and ridiculous and its real-life counterpart is no different.

Ibishu is a fake car brand name meant to mimic that of a generic Japanese car company like Mitsubishi or Toyota.

Whenever the content creator plays the game, his car of choice is the Ibishu Pigeon, so the opportunity to drive a real-life one had him crossing continents.

The real life vehicle has a rear-mounted engine, a single seat, and handlebars instead of a steering wheel.

It was built by a kiwi creative engineer called Kenny who based it on a Honda Gyro moped and used old Castrol oil barrels for the body.

Unfortunately, the real-life car was a lot smaller than the one in the game, in fact, it was comically small.

MuYe

Very similar to the BeamNG.drive experience

After spending a little while trying to fold his adult-sized body into the comically tiny car, MuYe set off on a quirky driving experience.

The car doors didn’t latch closed, so would randomly open while he drove and the breaking system was a single handbrake.

The car began to intensely shake as he gained speed too, making the whole experience surreal, even as he risked his life attempting a ‘pigeon moment’, which seemed to be a chaotic stunt with no seatbelt.

His extraction from the vehicle was just as comical.

But overall, this gamer was pretty stoked with his experience with the real-life Ibishu Pigeon.
