It’s no secret that Monaco is harboring some serious cash – and now it even offers the chance for learners to take driving lessons in a Porsche 911.

One driving school offers the experience because of the clientele it deals with.

Sitting behind the wheel of a Porsche is every car fan’s dream, whether a new or experienced driver.

However, there’s a logical reason behind the package on offer.

The Porsche 911 is a powerhouse of a car

Experiencing a Porsche engine in all of its glory is a rare treat – and not one offered to many learners.

Cars produced by the German automaker even retain better value than any other new car on the market, according to an in-depth study.

That’s impressive, we have to admit, considering some other offerings on the market.

One driving school is Monaco recognizes this

Thanks to the car’s power and value, a driving school in Monaco offers prospective drivers the chance to take lessons in the hot seat.

Monaco Bonne Conduite allows learners to sit behind the wheel of a 911 when learning the ropes of a gearbox.

But, as you’d expect, the experience doesn’t come cheap, and the lessons start at a whopping $173.83 (€159) for just 60 minutes of driving time.

The lessons can also be used to ‘refine your reflexes if you already hold a license’ according to the company itself.

It’s described as a ‘premium experience to learn in the best conditions’ with the lessons available in three languages – French, English and Italian – and the training experience is available from the start of theory lessons.

There’s an important reason behind the offering

The reason behind the offer is actually pretty straightforward.

Thanks to the economy of Monaco, many people who pass their tests in low-powered cars receive a shock when they get behind the wheel of a more powerful auto.

So, to combat issues, the owner of the school, Paul Croesi, decided to remedy it from the beginning and roll out the 911 offer.

“These are young people who passed their test with vehicles that have 60 or 80 horsepower, and they come to see me afterward with vehicles with 600 or 700 horsepower,” he said.

So it actually makes perfect sense, right?

The company has been offering the experience since March 31st, but it turns out that other driving schools have had a similar idea.

In fact, a Qatari driving school offers driving lessons in $300k Rolls-Royce Ghosts for millionaires who don’t want ‘regular’ cars.

Would you splash your cash learning to drive in a Porsche?
