Billionaire Jeff Bezos has an $80,000,000 private jet that is so impressive and can soar just shy of the speed of sound.

The Amazon founder has reportedly added a Gulfstream G700 to his fleet, a purchase believed to cost around $80 million.

It’s the kind of plane built for long-haul comfort, with a cabin that looks more like a high-end flying hotel than a jet.

It’s also as speedy as it is luxurious, with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, which is almost the speed of sound.

Jeff Bezos’ $80,000,000 private jet

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ jet is said to be a Gulfstream G700, one of the most in-demand private airplanes on the market right now.

Fellow tech founders like Mark Zuckerberg are reportedly big fans of the G700 too, but when you step inside, the reasons for the $80 million price tag are instantly obvious.

The cabin is designed around 20 panoramic windows, so it feels bright and open instead of like a flying hallway.

Gulfstream also attempted to lean hard into comfort, with a whisper-quiet cabin and 100 percent fresh, plasma ionized air that is replenished every two to three minutes.

The seating is another flex: the seats are handcrafted and can convert into ergonomic beds, which makes crossing oceans feel a lot less brutal.

Photos shared online have also shown a large screen inside, so downtime does not have to mean staring at the seat in front.

It’s not exactly a two-person setup either; the jet can reportedly accommodate up to 13 guests, and it can sleep up to eight, which is plenty of room for a full inner circle plus space to actually stretch out.

It even has a full-sized double bed and a proper bathroom, making it seem like a hotel in the sky.

Soar just shy of the speed of sound

The G700 is not just about plush interiors, as it is seriously quick, with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, putting it right up against the speed of sound without reaching supersonic territory.

That speed is not just for bragging rights, with Gulfstream stating the G700 can fly up to 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, meaning it is built for big nonstop journeys all over the world, perfect for a global entrepreneur.

Gulfstream has also said the model has plenty of speed records, and the company has positioned it as a flagship jet for rich people who want maximum range, maximum comfort, and minimum time wasted in the air.

For Bezos, the private jet is basically the ultimate transport between boardrooms, superyachts, and wherever the next big idea happens.
