Inside the Learjet converted into a limo that cost $1m to build

Do you like the luxuries offered by a private jet and limousines both?

Well, you could enjoy the best of both worlds because someone converted a Learjet into a limo, and it goes by several names, including Learmousine and LimoJet.

This isn’t by any means a new project, though.

Its creator took 12 years to complete the development and it immediately got everyone’s attention when it was done in 2018.

Creating a limo out of a private jet

Custom projects like these are the peak of ‘fancy luxury’ that only seems cool from a distance.

Like the man who converted Elvis Presley’s private jet into an RV, this project shares similar goals.

Although the LimoJet is as rare as it gets, it has had several owners since 2018.

As a matter of fact, its ownership changed at least four to five times.

It’s now available for purchase on an online auction platform since 2023, and its previous whereabouts were also in an auction.

However, the LimoJet looked different then — it had a dark red exterior finish.

It’s also not the only unorthodox limousine we’ve seen — we got to witness a stretched Ferrari 360 Madonna and an attempt at a 110ft Rolls-Royce with a swimming pool.

So, what’s so special about this extremely rare and thought-provoking vehicle that apparently nobody wants?

The LimoJet is a ‘flying party house’ on wheels

The LimoJet is basically a Learjet aircraft’s fuselage sitting on a custom chassis.

No, it didn’t retain its original aircraft engines and instead has an 8.1-liter Chevrolet Vortec V8 engine that sends out 400hp.

But that’s probably its least attractive feature.

Step inside, and you will instantly feel a strong late-night party vibe.

There are plush leather bench seats, a 42-inch TV, a refreshment center, and a disco floor with color-changing lights.

Oh, and did we mention a 17,000-watt audio system?

You’re sure to have an immaculate experience when going to a party in the LimoJet or returning from one.

After all, it’s all about the party not stopping from the outside.

A single seat in the car’s advanced ‘cockpit’ is enough for the driver, and the cockpit also comes with flick controls and tons of buttons.

It’s certainly enough to give the driver a feeling of flying a private jet, so to speak.

As interesting as it may sound, Goldin Co, an online auction platform, listed this machine in November 2023, and it still doesn’t have any bids.

It’s a niche lot, you’d have to admit.

The listing’s starting bid is a long stretch from how much its creator spent — $1 million.

In addition, Goldin’s owner, Ken Goldin, offered $28 million for a highly-desired collectible, but he was still turned down.

This Learjet-turned-luxury-car LimoJet situation seems interesting in contrast, and hopefully, someone still wants it for a collection.
