Next-level iOS 26 feature on iPhone is making people with Google Pixel phones very jealous

Apple’s operating system iOS 26 was released earlier this year, and now it is reportedly making Google Pixel users jealous of the humble iPhone.

It’s Apple vs Google when AI is brought into the mix

It’s no secret that both Apple and Google are tech giants that offer a variety of products that many of us use in everyday life.

But now, one Google Pixel user has been left jealous of one iOS 26 feature on the iPhone.

As reported by Pocket-lint, the Google Pixel user tested out the screenshot tool using IOS 26 and was left seriously impressed.

There is now a clever integration of ChatGPT with screen capture, which makes finding out new information easier than ever before.

In fact, it means that there is no need for an additional ChatGPT app to be loaded, as it’s all in one place.

Now, the preview of the full-screen reportedly includes buttons that can ask ChatGPT about what you’ve captured, without needing Google or additional resources to fact, spell-check, and ensure details are wholly correct.

Reportedly, context can be given too, including translations.

There is also the ability with IOS 26 for AI to conduct actions like adding things to the calendar or reverse image search using the Search button, while also connecting to apps.

After the Google Pixel user has used the feature, they said that it was something that they’d like to see Google integrate too, as the current feature offered doesn’t perform as seamlessly.

Plus, Circle to Search doesn’t integrate the Gemini tool just yet.

There are other ways that iOS 26 integrates ChatGPT

The screenshot tool using ChatGPT is certainly impressive, but the operating system also uses it in other interesting ways, too.

You can use the AI system along with Apple Intelligence to perform tricks such as composing text with writing tools, and Siri can even send requests to ChatGPT without you asking it to.

Apple did, however, noted that Apple Intelligence and ChatGPT are not ready for everyone to use via an iPhone.

The ChatGPT extension ‘is available only in regions where the ChatGPT app and service are available’.

So, it seems AI really is being integrated into all walks of life, especially at our fingertips.
