This YouTuber was thrilled to find treasure in a junkyard Cadillac that he was about to crush.

As well as cookbooks and other household items he hoped to raise some cash from – he found something else that was undeniably of value.

The item in question was a gold necklace hidden in the center console and marked ’10K’ which he planned to get tested for authenticity.

Consider it hidden junkyard treasure.

The junkyard Cadillac

Adventures Made From Scratch spends every day at the junkyard, processing between 39-45 cars.

He uses loaders to move and crush vehicles that have reached the end of the proverbial road.

Before they get sent to the great highway in the sky, however, he searches through them for anything valuable – and it often pays off.

On this day in particular, he locates tools, a couple of dollars in change, several household items, and some potentially valuable objects, including the White House Cookbook.

While, of course, most of the valuables have been removed, he does find one diamond in the rough (perhaps literally).

While the gold necklace is studded with three tumbling pink heart-shaped stones, its authenticity is yet to be authenticated.

Other scrapyard treasures

This isn’t the only precious object discovered in a junkyard.

Images appear to show Indian actor, Amitabh Bachchan’s, Lamborghini Murcielago abandoned in a junkyard.

It had been involved in an accident after he sold it and a sad sight to see.

Meanwhile, this rare Maserati was miraculously found in a junkyard and, with less than 1,000 ever made, it is a serious collector’s item.

It had been stripped for parts, however it is thought to be salvageable.

Last, but certainly not least, check out one of the world’s largest scrapyards in California that is a full 100 acres of classic American cars.
