Trading for a Tesla Cybertruck appears to be very popular.

More and more people seem to be blown away by the EV truck’s performance.

A Kansas man is the latest to trade traditional power for the Cybertruck.

And he claims he is having 10x more fun with his new EV.

EVs have permanently changed the car industry for good.

The last few years have witnessed a rocket spike in demand for all things EV.

America’s premier EV marque, Tesla, has been arguably the biggest reason for it.

Tesla has been a core factor behind the push for global EV permeation.

And it’s marquee Cybertruck has done much to push the movement.

The Tesla Cybertruck is the most controversial vehicle of its era.

In fact, the Cybertruck might be the most divisive vehicle of any era.

What is not controversial is the rate of publicity the flagship truck has enjoyed.

Since its launch in November 2023, the Tesla Cybertruck has been a big hit.

2024 saw the Cybertruck become the best-selling electric pickup in the US, with over 39,000 units sold.

It has, however, endured a much more difficult start to 2025 for a variety of reasons.

Despite the bad press and publicity, car owners have not been deterred from Cybertruck ownership.

In fact, owning Tesla’s flagship model appears to be getting more popular.

One owner, named Yixin Mu, has shared his experiences on Facebook.

Posting in the Cybertruck Owners group, Mu explained his ownership origin story.

He says, “I traded two of my previous favorites for a Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series. The first is a 5.8l Toyota Tundra, and the second is a 2024 BMW X5 plug-in hybrid.”

Being willing to trade in two trucks for one is certainly a big vote of confidence.

But Mu confirms that his confidence is more than well placed in the Cybertruck.

Mu explains that, “The CT (Cybertruck) has more than replaced the functionalities of the two.”

The new Cybertruck owner explains that it is not simply the functionality that is key.

“On top of that, my Cybertruck is more fun than the Tundra and BMW X5 combined, multiplied by 10 times. It’s also more efficient, economical, and practical.”

The technology, according to Mu, is “light years ahead of BMW and Toyota.”

To his credit, Yixin Mu provides an honest review – and admits that the Cybertruck isn’t totally perfect.

Mu provides the outlook that, “There are definitely areas for improvement with the Cybertruck.”

“The battery size (and consequently, range, especially highway range), charging curve (it’s pitiful to have the 800V architecture but not be able to benefit from the Gen4 superchargers), and the useless rearview mirror.”

In summary, Mu is still fully confident in his ownership of the Cybertruck.

He ends his review by saying, “I have full confidence Tesla will improve all these in future iterations. The Cybertruck is the one and only; nothing else comes close.”

Perhaps Yixin’s experience may yet inspire more people to swap traditional for EV.
