Ford has developed powerful cars and trucks

The car brand’s fleet ranges from daily drivers to huge pickup trucks, such as the Ford Ranger Super Duty.

But, we bet you didn’t know that the company even built a supercar so hardcore, it was too wild to be driven on the streets.

Despite the Ford Raptor’s already impressive horsepower, one YouTuber wanted more.

Gearhead Westen Champlin decided to supercharge his Ford and was left shocked at the results.

He supercharged his Mini V8 Ford Raptor R

“How do we raise your adrenaline level?

“By stuffing a ridiculously powerful 5.2L Supercharged V8 engine into the belly of the new 2023 F-150 Raptor R.

“Cranking out a massive 700HP and 640LB-FT of torque. Making it the most powerful high-performance F-150 Raptor ever,” stated Ford.

But, Westen wanted more for his Mini V8 Raptor R version.

He had two mini V8 Raptors to play with.

One was to be supercharged, and the other’s performance was also going to be improved with a twin-turbo installation.

The supercharged V8 was set to be given away by the YouTuber, so it had to be in top condition.

Westen enlisted help to make the trucks even more powerful, with extra installations needed from professionals to make both versions come to life.

After the specialist work and the installation of a supercharger and twin-turbo kit on the respective vehicles were complete, the time came to test out the power.

The horsepower was unexpected

The first initial testing of the new equipment meant that one of the trucks got up to 583HP, but after losing fuel pressure, it was clear more work needed to be done.

A second fuel pump was installed on the Ford Raptor, but the addition of a regulator was needed to help it reach new heights.

Once the power was tested again, they landed different results, with the output coming to 568 and 576HP.

But, Westen still wanted even more, so he altered it to produce more boost.

And, this time, the result was unexpected.

“In case you’re wondering, we started at 298HP on this thing,” explained Westen.

“We bolted a Hellion twin-turbo kit on it and just made 860,” he said.

So, overall, a pretty impressive result for the Ford Raptor.
