A man from Malaysia has been described as the Jay Leno of the East, thanks to an amazing private car collection that is the largest in Southeast Asia.
IT tycoon JP Chin has collected his cars over 30 years, opening the JPM Museo, which is home to some truly incredible cars from around the world.
Hagerty recently got a chance to look around the collection, with many in the comments of a YouTube video reaffirming the man’s passion.
With around 100 vehicles in the collection, it is no wonder he’s called the Jay Leno of the East.

JP Chin’s collection has an amazing number of cars
Early in Hagerty’s video, it’s easy to see how amazing these cars are.
For example, a Toyota Mega Cruiser is one of the many vehicles in JP Chin’s collection.
Designed primarily for military use, Toyota only made 3,000 Mega Cruisers, based loosely on the Humvee.
Next to it is an actual Hummer, which highlights the size of the Toyota perfectly.
There is a heavy influence from Japanese cars in the collection, as we see various JDM machines on display, including a Honda NSX, Kei cars such as the Autozam AZ-1, and a Honda Integra.
Hypercars are also on show, such as a McLaren P1.
But one unusual highlight is the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen-style replica.

How this private car collection was amassed
Chin spoke to Options about how his love of cars started.
It stemmed from his family being unable to afford a brand-new car when he was younger.
That simply meant his dream of owning a nice car, such as a Datsun 240Z, grew stronger and stronger.
Making his fortune from the IT company Silverlake Innovation Partners, Chin was soon able to afford those cars.
That is how he was able to amass such an incredible collection, including four Bugattis – a Chiron, Divo, and Bolide.
He has also ordered a Bugatti Mistral, which is on the way later in 2026.
These are just some of the main highlights of this amazing private car collection.
He certainly lives up to the title of the Jay Leno of the East.
