We live in hope that the new iPhone 16 line will receive design changes and new hardware features.
But so far, the only glimpses of the new handset we’ve seen have been renders.
However, metal dummy units of the phones have now allegedly been leaked.

Before getting we get down to it, let’s first talk about other things going on at Apple.
Firstly, the tech giant is supposedly looking to create home robots after scrapping the Apple Car.
When it comes to the company’s phones, Apple is set to release iOS 18 – the ‘biggest ever’ iPhone update.

Back to the leaked dummy units – Sonny Dickson shared photos of them to X.
His pictures include all four expected phones – the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max – from a variety of angles, highlighting key features.
One of those key features is a new Capture button which all four models will receive.
Shown on the right edge, if previous leaks are anything to go by, it’s expected to work as a shortcut to camera functions like recording videos and taking photos.
Another feature all four dummy phones have is an Action button on their left edge.
This customizable shortcut is already present on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, but you can expect to see it on all four iPhone 16 models, too.
There’s another big visual change which involves the cameras on both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
Both have vertically aligned lenses rather than the diagonal layout of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
It’s a change that’s been rumored for a while, with speculation being that the new arrangement will allow them to record spacial video for the Apple Vision Pro.
Elsewhere, it appears that the iPhone 16 Pro is marginally larger than the iPhone 16, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is again larger than the iPhone 16 Plus.
Previous leaks suggested that the iPhone 16 Pro will gain 0.2 inches (6.3 inches up from 6.1 inches), and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will also gain 0.2 inches (6.9 inches up from 6.7 inches).
Although these things have been leaked before, and there’s a decent chance the details could be accurate, you should take them with a pinch of salt – for now.
After all, until we get an official update from Apple, we won’t know whether any of it is real.
