This luxury car dealer was left shocked after a customer tried to trade in their Jaguar XJS for a BMW X6M.

It’s part and parcel of every car sale – nobody wants to let go of their old banger for a quick buck.

Now, we know that everyone would like a top-of-the-range car for a fraction of what it is worth.

But this audacious deal took dodgy deals to the next level as one couple offered up a 95k-mile Jaguar XJS for a BMW X6M worth $125,000.

Luxury car dealer gets offered a $4k Jaguar XJS for his BMW X6M

In this deal, ‘George J Saliba‘ was faced with a couple who had eyed a blue BMW X6M – the only one of this color to have been shipped to the US so far, according to the dealer.

The haggling man – who was allegedly looking to please his wife with a new car – offered up the 95k-mile Jag for a part exchange.

They priced the Jaguar at $10,000.

It was far from other deals, where recently we saw Michael Jordan’s 3,000-mile Porsche GT2 RS brought into a dealership.

But the luxury car dealer soon found online sites priced it at less than $2k, although he was impressed by the condition and thought he’d get decent money at a classic auction.

Still, they settled on the value coming down to $4k.

The BMW on the other hand was 32 times as expensive.

The 2025 BMW X6M Competition is priced at $135,000 to buy from the manufacturers themselves, but the luxury car dealer lowered theirs to $127,000.

Still, the Jaguar owner wasn’t coming in with only one bullet in his chamber trying to swindle a luxury car for a banger.

In fact, the second bullet was a heft wad of cash – $110k to be exact.

Negotiations saw the luxury car dealer bump up the Jag to a round $6k to bring the entire deal down to $121,000, but this was still too much for the customers With a $6k difference, neither party could budge more.

It wasn’t all doom and gloom for Saliba though, as he sold a Dodge Hellcat later in the YouTube video.
