This man bought his dream BMW, but it’s been nothing short of a disaster.

YouTuber Stef ABtv bought a BMW Z3M Coupe to replace his Audi RS4.

There were a few red flags that may have indicated this car would be a pain.

But he couldn’t have anticipated the number of issues he’d get in the first two months of ownership.

There’s nothing worse than getting a car, only to discover that it has a bunch of issues.

It’s annoying no matter what you buy, whether it’s a $3k mini-Jeep, a pricey Porsche GT3 RS, or a dirt-cheap Dodge Hellcat.

For YouTuber Stef ABtv, a BMW Z3M Coupe was his ‘financial mistake’.

“Unbelievable little car, but I’ll be honest, the journey with it so far has been a bit of a disaster,” he admitted.

Strong words.

You must be thinking ‘How bad could it possibly be?’

Let us – Or Stef – list the ways…

Dripping puddles of oil are a pretty good place to start.

“I looked under the car and lo and behold, a massive oil leak covering basically a load of the underside of the car,” Stef recalled.

“That was not fun.”

While the car was in for a check-up on the leakage issue, Stef opted to get some new tires that were long overdue, going for some AR1s.

Shortly afterwards, a loud bang was heard mid-drive.

It turned out that the back left corner of the car had sunk into the arch of the tire.

“It was literally resting on the tire,” Stef said.

“I limped the car home and got the jack out to have a look.

“It was a snapped rear spring. We ordered new rear springs and took it back to [the shop].”

While there, he had the car’s grille replaced.

On top of all of that, he soon got buyer’s remorse over the AR1 tires, as they were extremely loud out on the road.

It got to the point where Stef couldn’t even hear the exhaust over the sound of the tires.

While he still loves the car, he acknowledges that the car’s age does lend itself to problems.

“It’s such a cool-looking car, I absolutely love it, especially in an Estoril blue,” Stef said.

“She’s just magic.”

Stef is going to wait until the end of the summer before making a decision on whether to keep the car and invest in it, or to part ways with it.
