A YouTuber just shared his experience flying the cheapest flight from New York to London, spending just $129 to cross the Atlantic on Norse Atlantic Airways.
The trip was part of an experiment to see what you actually get for flying the cheapest transatlantic flight.
His journey took place on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and was documented in a recent video that’s gaining traction online.
While the price was unbeatable, the experience came with a few surprises, both good and bad.

Free movies on a budget airline
YouTuber WorldWide Dom shared his experience taking the cheapest flight between New York and London in a recent video.
The base fare on the cheapest transatlantic flight was just £95 (about $129), with the final cost, including extras, coming to £124 (roughly $168).
Check-in at JFK was mostly painless, although Norse Atlantic Airways staff did ask him to test his carry-on in the sizer.
Onboard, the Dreamliner featured a standard 3-3-3 economy layout, which had decent legroom, although it still looked a little tight.
Of course, he’s not flying in Singapore Airlines’ legendary double suite, nor did he get lucky enough to get upgraded to first class, so that’s to be expected.
However, it was more than acceptable for a budget airline, especially since there were also USB charging ports.

The in-flight entertainment (IFE) system was another pleasant surprise, offering movies, shopping options, and even duty-free items.
While the entertainment selection wasn’t extensive, it was more than many other budget airlines provide.

The YouTuber also praised the food; well, mostly.
Dinner consisted of roast beef and vegetables with rice, a roll, water, and cheesecake, and he rated it as surprisingly good.

Breakfast was less impressive: a ham and cheese croissant, lemon cake, and coffee, with the croissant’s cheese described as ‘horrid’ despite the cake being enjoyable.

While these aren’t exactly Michelin-star meals in the sky, for the price he paid, it still seemed really good.
The cheapest flight across the Atlantic is readily available
However, not everything about the flight was smooth.
Midway through the journey, condensation built up inside a cracked lighting panel above his seat, eventually dripping water on him for nearly an hour.
He ended up soaked, and while the issue resolved itself, it left a literal damp mark on the trip.
Still, the YouTuber came away impressed by the value Norse Atlantic Airways provides at such a low price point.
To silence claims that the fare was fake or one-off, he even posted screenshots of the airline’s monthly prices, proving that similar deals are widely available.

According to the YouTuber, the affordability of the airline is why he will likely return to take the cheapest transatlantic flight again, even if he might need a poncho for his next trip.
