A man who bought a Koenigsegg Agera S after seeing Lewis Hamilton driving one and falling in love, has revealed he’s now been forced to sell his car – and it’s not easy to say ‘goodbye’.
Koenigsegg introduced the Agera in 2010 as a successor to the CCX.
Three years later, the Swedish carmaker unveiled the limited edition Agera S, which offers a blistering 1,016hp.
Only five units were ever made, and now one heartbroken owner has sold his.

He bought the Koenigsegg Agera S after seeing Lewis Hamilton in one
Back in 2015, James Condon, who runs TheStradman YouTube channel, saw Lewis Hamilton drive David Heinemeier Hansson’s Agera S on the final leg of the Gumball 3000 rally from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, and was smitten with the supercar.
The car was originally custom-built for Heinemeier Hansson and is the only Koenigsegg Agera S in the US.

After seeing the car, Condon vowed to one day own one for himself, saying that his ‘one goal in life’ was to get a Koenigsegg.
“If I could own just one car in the entire world, it would be a Koenigsegg Agera,” he said back in 2015.
“There’s something about this car that makes me just want to work every single day so I can somehow someway afford this car – and mark my words, someday I will be taking delivery of my Koenigsegg Agera.”
And in 2023, he made his dream come true – snapping up the very same Agera S HH.
The one-of-five supercar, VIN 7099, was finished in a deep Monterey Blue with clear carbon fiber accents.
When he finally landed his dream car, Condon said he’d hold onto it forever.
But just a couple of years later, he revealed he was forced to make the ‘bittersweet’ decision to sell it.
And it’s for a very relatable reason.

He’s revealed why he was forced to sell his dream car
In a clip uploaded to his YouTube channel, Condon confirmed that after just two-and-a-half years, the Koenigsegg Agera S had been sold.
“I look back, and I reflect, and I’m kind of disappointed in myself,” he admitted.
“When I got this car, I said I was going to keep it forever, and that didn’t happen. But on the flip side, what an opportunity. I got to own one of the coolest cars in the world.”
The car lover then explained what had led him to decide to sell the supercar, and it all came down to money.
“Financially, the Koenigsegg was killing me,” he revealed.
“I couldn’t afford it.”

Condon went on to say that he could no longer justify the expense and claimed he had ‘no business’ owning such a car.
In the clip, Condon went to the dealership that bought the car and saw it sitting on the forecourt, ready for its next owner and became slightly emotional – and we can’t really blame him for that.
