This man in Pasadena saved his vintage lowriders from the California wildfires thanks to some quick thinking and prompt action.

To date, the fires have swept through 40,000 acres in the greater Los Angeles area, among other parts of California.

With the Eaton Fire threatening his house and prized lowrider collection, this Californian knew he had to jump into action.

And with some help from his neighbors, he was able to save almost all of them.

Man saved vintage lowriders amid California wildfires

Joseph, an Instagram user who goes by @doublepumphydraulics, immediately took all the water hoses he could find and started spraying water all around his home and cars.

Even his neighbors jumped in to help.

He and his neighbors battled time, low water pressure, and strong winds to protect what they could.

Thankfully, most of the cars were unscathed by the time the situation somewhat calmed down.

There was only minor damage to one of his vintage lowriders, which appeared to be an early 1960s Chevy Bel Air, according to The Drive.

“Ain’t going out like that,” he could be heard saying in his video.

Cars saved from wildfires

Joseph wasn’t the only one to save their cars and homes with genius quick-thinking.

A mystery man in Calabasas also protected his multi-million-dollar car collection overnight by driving each one to a McDonald’s parking lot in the middle of the night.

It was well worth the effort too, because this collection was one-of-a-kind.

It even included a $1.5 million Mercedes 300SL Gullwing.

This Toyota Tacoma on the other hand proved its resilience after surviving a good chunk of time in the middle of the fires.
