The perks of owning a very fast car are endless, and this man detailed what it’s like to live with the only real American supercar ever made — the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR.

While that claim might not technically be in the correct category, we certainly understand the feeling here.

After all, the almost a decade-old 2016 Viper ACR remains one of the most glorious track cars to date.

What’s more, this Viper’s owner had fallen in love with his ‘supercar’ — and all for good reason.

Man shares what it’s like to live with the only real American supercar

The 2016 Dodge Viper ACR was a historical car at launch, mostly because it marked the return of the ACR trim after a long drought.

It’s also safe to say that it didn’t disappoint, and was declared a track beast as soon as enthusiasts got behind its wheel.

A YouTuber named Chillin’ with Chet posted a video about his Viper ACR a year ago and explained what living with one is like.

He said he knew it wasn’t an ideal ride for being a daily driver, but it was one of the best American models to ever exist.

Although the Viper ACR is technically a sports car, he said it feels like a true American supercar — so he considers it one.

Many motorheads surprisingly share this mindset, and you can often find one of these in massive car collections like this one in Arizona.

Even Jay Leno owns an ACR.

Anyway, the YouTuber further mentioned that his Dodge Viper ACR naturally attracts a lot of attention.

Why this YouTuber loves his 2016 Dodge Viper ACR

While most supercars and sports cars with loud exhaust sounds turn heads all the time, onlookers often come back for a second look at his Viper.

That could also be due to the shiny blue wrap he installed with orange wheels, though.

However, it’s most likely because of the extremely capable powerhouse of an engine inside the Viper ACR.

Chrysler’s SRT team picked the iconic SRT 8.4-liter V10 engine for this car, which sends out a massive 645 horsepower and 600lb-ft of torque.

This engine doesn’t need any introductions, and it often appears inside other cars, too.

The YouTuber said he doesn’t particularly like the engine sound, but it’s something that he eventually fell in love with.

We don’t know if this is similar to the case of a middle-aged dentist who got a Cybertruck that changed his life.

It could very well be that, or just someone who found the car of his dreams.
