A UK man took his broken Porsche 911 to WeBuyAnyCar and was left reeling by what he was offered.
He had bought the damaged Porsche 911 at auction a few months earlier, for around $9,450 plus fees.
However, after the purchase, he took it to be checked over by a Porsche expert who informed him that the car needed a full engine rebuild, at a cost of around $13,500.
Rather than spend a huge chunk of cash to get the car back on the road, he decided to see what he would be offered by WeBuyAnyCar, but was left shocked by the valuation.

Porsche 911 quote from WeBuyAnyCar
As the company’s name suggests, WeBuyAnyCar will buy any car in any condition – even non-runners.
But of course, that doesn’t mean you’ll get a fortune for it, as this Tesla owner found out.
But, after realizing it could cost thousands to fix up his broken Porsche 911, YouTuber Shifting Metal said he saw WeBuyAnyCar as a ‘get out of jail free card’ to avoid having to pay for any costly repairs.

He went online and entered the car’s registration and mileage and was initially offered just under $,9700 – not a million miles what he ended up paying for it at auction, but after adding in some additional details, this dropped to $9,241.
The online valuation also came with some stipulations and warned that the amount would only be honored following a satisfactory inspection of the vehicle.
So, he took his broken Porsche 911 to WeBuyAnyCar to see what he was offered in person.
At his local branch, the owner admitted that the car’s engine wasn’t in the best condition.
Following the in-person inspection, the WeBuyAnyCar valuation dropped again, and this time he was offered just $6,952.
The owner admitted the offer ‘wasn’t too bad’ considering the Porsche’s engine issues, but stressed that it was ‘far too little’ for him to consider selling.
“I don’t think I’d ever let this car go for £5,000,” he said. “That just seems absolutely crazy.”
He’s not the first motorist to be left shocked by WeBuyAnyCar
The YouTuber isn’t the first person to be left surprised by the WeBuyAnyCar valuation their car received.
A man who forked out $70,000 for a Tesla Model Y was offered around half of that following an inspection, while the owner of this $281k Lamborghini Huracán Performante saw its value drop by a quarter.
Meanwhile, a Porsche Cayman S driver said he was offered $7,880, despite seeing similar cars going for around $16,000 on online auction sites.
