After he traded in a Ford F-150 for Tesla Model 3, he simply hasn’t looked back.

It’s no secret that there is a big debate about swapping from gas-powered cars to electric drivetrains.

Thanks to rising fuel costs, many drivers are opting to go all-electric, which is exactly what this driver did.

Over on the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y Owners Club Facebook group, Model 3 owner Dillan Ellison explained how he traded in a Ford F-150 for a Tesla Model 3 and simply hasn’t looked back since.

In fact, he says that even though his car payments are high and his insurance increased by three times, he still has no regrets.

“I’ve traveled from NJ to West Virginia and NJ to Georgia all in the past two weeks. Maybe a total of $250 in charging costs the entire time. No thought of maintenance issues whatsoever. No stress. Just get in and go,” the driver explained.

Other Tesla owners have gotten in on the action, too, with the Model 3 being praised for its performance.

“Yup, they are pretty awesome. I have two now, a Model Y and a Model 3,” said one user.

“I love my 2025 M3P a thrill every time I get in and shut the door,” said another.

“Once you own a Tesla, you won’t drive your backup gas car. Tesla is just the best EV. Very reliable,” noted a third.

Tesla’s Model 3 first made itself known in the car world in 2017 and is still loved by gearheads thanks to its reliability.

In fact, many owners have ditched standard gas-powered vehicles in aid of the Model 3 and have been left seriously impressed.
