A British YouTuber used Temu parts to try and make his Porsche a budget GT2 RS that beats the real thing in a race around the track.

He began the build with $24,000 Temu body kit that he hoped would turn his Porsche 911 into a copy of the automaker’s GT2 RS.

But what began as a cheap experiment quickly turned into a full overhaul.

And now the goal is simple: create a budget GT2 RS that’s good enough to beat the real one on track.

He tried to create a budget GT2 RS using Temu parts

The British YouTuber, Chris Slix, kicked off his project to create a convincing GT2 RS with Temu parts with a fake GT2 RS supercar body kit ordered straight from Temu.

The kit included a new hood, new headlights, a massive carbon-fibre engine cover, and a huge rear wing.

Virtually none of it actually fit, so Chris Slix and his team spent hours drilling, trimming, wiring, and making new brackets to make the panels sit like the proper factory parts.

He had to cut down the rear bumper, the brake light wiring had to be extended, and the front bumper got custom mounts so it wouldn’t rip off at speed.

Once the big carbon pieces and side parts went on, the Porsche 911 started looking like a convincing GT2 RS clone, even if the process to get there was anything but simple.

Is it good enough to beat the real thing?

Underneath the Temu body kit, the upgrades got a lot more serious.

He replaced the stock intercoolers with heavy-duty new ones, and he swapped the exhaust for a custom titanium system.

He boosted the horsepower, and while there’s still work to do on brakes, suspension, and handling, the power upgrade alone put this Temu-built GT2 RS very similar to the real thing.

When he eventually tests his fake Porsche GT2 RS against a real one, it looks like it could be a close call.

And if it actually beats Porsche’s supercar on the track, it might go down as the wildest budget GT2 RS experiment anyone’s ever done.
