Mark Zuckerberg cruised his $300,000,000 superyacht so much that it ended up in repairs for 80 consecutive days.

The Meta founder’s Feadship superyacht Launchpad underwent repairs at France’s La Ciotat shipyard for over two months.

But now the 387-foot ship is better than ever and is departing from Europe.

An exact figure for the repairs hasn’t been provided, but it won’t have come cheap.

Launchpad was photographed anchored off La Ciotat on August 4, before being moved into the La Ciotat Shipyards complex for services.

It would depart two and a half months later on October 24.

From there, it would head to Gibraltar, before beginning the journey back over the Atlantic Ocean.

La Ciotat Shipyards has been likened to the Formula 1 pit in the world of superyachts, Luxury Launches reported.

The yard’s 4,300-ton shiplift platform can lift a boat of Launchpad’s size out of the water in less than three hours.

Speaking of the Launchpad’s size, how big is it exactly?

It’s 387-foot long – longer than a soccer pitch – has been likened to a city on the water.

In local media, Launchpad’s stay at the La Ciotat was described as a ‘technical service and maintenance stay’.

This is believed to be a standard procedure after the first full cruising season.

Zuckerberg took ownership of the boat relatively recently, and it needed a detailed customization.

This includes, but isn’t limited to, a overhaul of generators and the main propulsion systems.

This isn’t the only yacht in Zuckerberg’s collection.

Well, what would you expect from a guy with a net worth of $222 billion?

Even the support ship for Launchpad is big, despite half is size – measuring in at 219 feet.

He’s also reportedly bought a shadow vessel that previously belonged to Jeff Bezos.

And Zuckerberg isn’t the only tech billionaire living the good life out on the high seas.

Jeff Bezos is the proud owner of a $500 million superyacht so big that it’s too big for many ports.

And even that boat is dwarfed by this superyacht owned by a mystery billionaire.
