After MrBeast destroyed a Lamborghini Gallardo in a viral video, mechanical wizard Mat Armstrong bought the supercar and revealed the extent of its damage.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is one of the best-selling supercars the brand has ever made, capable of over 200mph thanks to its monstrous 5.0L V10 engine.
However, one of these magnificent raging bulls charged at the red cape of a content creator and came off worse for wear.
The bullringer? Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donalson, and the cape was 25,000 rolls of gaffa tape.

Mat Armstrong showcases the damage a sticky-tape barrier caused to MrBeast’s Gallardo
MrBeast and Mat Armstrong are different sides of the same coin.
One loves to wreck Lamborghini supercars, the other loves to find smashed-up ones and fix them.
So, in a combination of two very different, but very similar worlds, Mat Armstrong has now bought the wrecked Gallardo LP550-2 that fell victim to MrBeast’s ‘how much tape to stop a Lamborghini’ video and see if it was salvageable.
The MrBeast video showed already extensive damage to the front end, which was ripped off in its battle with tape. Although it did continue to drive… somehow.
But what Mat Armstrong found was another level of damage.

While a lot of the damage was obvious – a new shell and interior were a given – it turned out that the damage caused was much deeper than carbon fiber.
The monocoque was distorted in every angle imaginable, and severe structural damage was also seen on the chassis (bent front suspension mounts and wheelbase).
In addition, both A and B pillars were split and warped, the roof had caved, and the door hinges were bowed.
But, you don’t buy a wrecked supercar and give up on it after one inspection, right?
What is next for the Lamborghini Gallardo?
Having showcased his skills before on supercars like this one-of-60 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, Armstrong is now weighing up whether the structural damage is worth investing in.
Already $90,000 down, and with an expected sell-on price of around $140,000, his team already believes they’re on to a loser here.
But all the best rebuilds have the best stories behind them, and his dad, Tony, is on board to get this fixed and give the car a new lease of life.

With other projects in the pipeline, such as his girlfriend’s Land Rover Defender, we’ll have to cross our fingers for some updates on the beloved Gallardo.
As for MrBeast, he’s now begun to give away his Lambos instead of crushing them, which feels far more constructive.
