One of the first Mercedes AMG One hypercars to land in the US has just arrived at a showroom in New York, and it looks absolutely stunning.

The limited-edition AMG One was unveiled in June 2022 and went into production a couple of months later.

The hypercar has a Formula 1-derived hybrid powertrain that can produce a staggering 1,049 horsepower and hits 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in a neck-snapping 2.9 seconds.

The carmaker decided to keep this car as exclusive as it is powerful, by creating just 275 examples. Now, one has been spotted at a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Manhattan.

Hailed as ‘the most extraordinary, contemporary, road-legal racing car to emerge from Affalterbach’ by Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes AMG One is a very special car.

The Mercedes AMG One mixes Formula 1 technology with road-legal design to create a car quite unlike anything the marque has made before.

It features a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 with two electric motors that produce more than 1,000HP.

Its incredible horsepower makes it one of the most powerful road-legal cars ever created, and it boasts a top speed of 217mph (349km/h).

The hypercar is also capable of driving short distances on electric power alone.

As is usually the case when these super special editions are announced, all 275 units were snapped up before the AMG One even went into production.

In fact, the marque received orders for more than four times the planned production, but refused to increase the limit, so that the hypercar could hold on to its exclusivity.

First deliveries of the AMG One began in 2023, and now it seems the hypercar is landing in the US.

Car spotter @luisncars saw this example in a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Manhattan, New York, last month.

The model in question was finished in Diamond White with exposed carbon surfaces and Petronas Green accents.

The cars were priced at $2.7 million when new, but re-sales on the AMG One have already been spotted, like this stunning dark grey and teal example currently up for sale at SBX Cars.
