Most people who own a superyacht decide to flex with infinity pools and flashy water toys, but this mystery billionaire is shaking things up with a basketball court aboard Project Milky Ways.
The full basketball court setup doubles as a helipad.
The owner is staying anonymous, but the brief is loud and clear.
This yacht is built for business and play, not just soaking up the sunshine.

Mystery billionaire switches work-from-home for work-from-yacht
Project Milky Ways is set to become Brazil’s largest private superyacht, measuring 164 feet with an ocean of internal space.
Instead of asking for pools, the mystery billionaire behind the build requested two full offices on board, one for him and one for his wife.
That choice instantly reframes the yacht as a floating headquarters rather than a purely leisure-driven vacation spot; it turns WFH to WFY (Work From Yacht).

The design is the result of a really special international collaboration.
Dutch studio Vripack is responsible for the exterior and architecture, while Brazil’s MCP Yachts is in charge of construction and interior design.
The yacht is being built entirely from aluminum, and it is the largest project MCP has ever undertaken; it’s expected to be completed in 2027.

Despite the work-focused vibe of the boat, the yacht still leans heavily into luxury.
The interior is designed to feel calm and functional rather than flashy, supporting long stays on board and serious business time at sea.
It is also intended for cruising between the Brazilian coast and the Caribbean, blending business with pleasure.

He ditched pools for a basketball court
The most eye-catching feature is right on the upper deck.
The helipad is engineered to support an Airbus EC145 helicopter, but it also converts into a basketball court, complete with a full hoop setup.
It is a flexible statement that prioritises space over traditional superyacht pools, even though it looks like one has been snuck on deck.
The superyacht comes with a concealed cigar lounge that includes a fold-down balcony and integrated TV, while a walk-in wine cellar stores over 250 bottles.

At sea level, it has a beach club that is anything but minimal.
It includes a sauna, gym area, oversized spa pool, and terraces that lower to expand the space by roughly 40 percent.
Five guest cabins complete the layout, with the owner’s suite directly connected to the office.
Project Milky Ways is a project that is shooting for the stars, and it certainly seems like it’s out of this world.
